2. Service Description

PiTax provides automated bookkeeping, tax calculation, and financial reporting tools specifically designed for the Nigerian market, aligned with the 2026 tax reforms. We provide guidance on:

  • Personal Income Tax (PIT) under progressive bands.
  • Corporate Income Tax (CIT) based on turnover thresholds.
  • Value Added Tax (VAT) tracking and reporting.
  • Deductible and non-deductible expense categorization.

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of PiTax, you are responsible for:

  • Accuracy of Data: You must ensure all income and expense data entered is accurate and truthful. PiTax is not responsible for penalties resulting from incorrect data entry.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Legal Compliance: You must comply with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations regarding tax filing and financial reporting.

4. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

PiTax is a technological tool designed to assist with tax compliance. However:

  • Not Professional Advice: While our AI Tax Educator and calculators provide guidance based on Nigerian law, they do not constitute professional legal or tax advice.
  • No Guarantee: We provide the software "as is" and do not guarantee specific tax outcomes or acceptance of filings by FIRS or State IRS.
  • Liability Limit: In no event shall PiTax be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

Access to certain features may require a paid subscription. All payments are processed securely via Flutterwave. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms or engage in fraudulent activities.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes via email or system notifications.
